How to Join the SURE 2020 Virtual Conference on Zoom
The conference is taking place on Friday, 16th October. It will begin at 9:30am sharp. You are kindly requested to join the conference in advance of this time between 9:00am and 9:30am.
The conference is taking place in Zoom. The link to join the conference is here: https://zoom.us/j/93029874420
Please make sure you have the latest version of zoom installed, Zoom Client for Meetings 5.3.2, available here: https://zoom.us/download#client_4meeting. This is very important as you may not be able to access the breakout meeting rooms without this version.
When you join please ensure your camera and microphone are off.
If you have technical difficulties on the day you can contact the organisers at surenetwork20@gmail.com.
On the day you will be invited to select a breakout room after the first and second keynote speakers. You are requested to remain in the one breakout room for the duration of the session. You will be able to ask questions during the oral presentation session by using the chat facility in Zoom. You are kindly requested to use the chat only for questions – reaction buttons are also available. After the poster session the posters will be available here. The password to access the posters will be provided at the time. Poster presenters will remain in the conference and you will be able to speak to them by using the chat facility in Zoom. Questions during the Postgraduate Opportunities Workshop will also be managed through the chat facility in Zoom.
Voting will take place at the end of each session and links to the poll will be provided after the final speaker in each session. You will be voting for the SURE2020 Audience award for Best Science Communicator and the SURE2020 Audience award for Best Scientific Poster at the end of the relevant session.
