Growing a connection with an Irish person is an immediate path to easier integration, yet these opportunities are often missing in everyday life. There is little provision for low-barrier, repeatable opportunities where Irish residents and newcomers can meet casually and safely in everyday spaces. As a response, I proposed Blossom, a hypothetical initiative developed through my research. Blossom would organise a diverse range of casual events that provide a safe space for foreign and lrish people to connect. A seasonal programme would be posted with events such as coffee meet-ups and cinema nights, run in collaboration with local businesses. People could sign up and reserve a free ticket online, with no long-term commitment needed.
