The Impact of Chronic Pain on Income and Employment

The significance of this research comes from the evidence it could provide to policymakers to influence the creation of more accessible chronic pain management policy at a national level. Not only would this help to improve the current healthcare system, but it could reduce the burden of non-communicable disease through more accessible early disease management. Additionally, this would allow Ireland to get closer to achieving SDG 10 “Reduced Inequalities,” by reducing the daily impact of chronic pain on the lives of working-aged adults.
