Supporting Single Parents: How Loneliness and Self-Stigma can impact Single Parents and their Quality of Life

If you have ever felt lonely or been judged based on society’s perception of you, you can understand that it might affect you and how you live your life. Single parents are working twice as hard due to the absence of a co-parent, which has led to single parents reporting high levels of loneliness, self-stigma, and financial burden. The journey of single parenthood can be lonely, and it shouldn’t be. The financial and psychological struggle single parent’s experience need to be addressed, and support should be made accessible to all single parents. For a child to thrive, it starts with the life their parent lives.
