Tracking Livestock Heart Rate & Location Using Long-Range Radio Networks. An immediate Solution for Farms Without Reliable WI-FI

This research is significant because it shows that modern monitoring technology doesn’t need to be expensive or require strong network connectivity to be useful. Many small farms are excluded from digital tools simply because mobile data is too unreliable or the equipment costs too much. By using low-power radio networks and simple hardware, this project shows a realistic way for farmers to track animal health and prevent loss. The change it aims to bring is greater access to practical, affordable technology in rural areas. With policy support, systems like this could help improve animal welfare and farm sustainability nationwide.
